Information on voting arrangements from Swindon Borough Council:
- Polling stations will be a safe place to vote on 6 May but you can apply for a postal or proxy vote if you’d prefer
- You need to register to vote by 19 April
- You need to apply for a postal vote by 5pm on 20 April and you should apply for a proxy vote (when someone votes on your behalf) by 5pm on 27 April
How polling stations will be made COVID-safe:
- Social distancing and queuing systems will be in place
- Hand sanitiser will be available
- Where appropriate, screens and distance markings will be in use
- Voters will be required to wear a face covering in polling stations (unless exempt)
- Fewer people will be allowed into polling stations at any one time
- Voters should bring their own pen/pencil to cast their vote
