Please note they are changing the route slightly so that Lower Wanborough has some coverage. The bus will therefore come down from Foxhill after stopping at the "Burj", to stop at the bus stop at the corner of Rotten Row, then go up Kite Hill to The Calley before then going on to Liddington and GWH.
As a consequence of this, the buses will be running in the opposite direction to normal on Rotten Row and Kite Hill, i.e. uphill towards Swindon, downhill towards Marlborough.

RE: Closure of the Marsh to enable Southern Connector Road works
I am writing to inform you that The Marsh will be closed as a through-route from the 4th of October for a duration of 11 months, in order to complete works on the new Southern Connector Road. The Southern Connector Road is a key piece of transport infrastructure to enable the New Eastern Villages development. Once the scheme is complete access to the Marsh will be reinstated via the Southern Connector Road.
The closure of The Marsh is required throughout the course of the construction period to keep residents and the travelling public safe due to the heavy construction vehicles and delivery wagons that will operate along the route. The Marsh will continue to be accessible from the north and the south for access to land and properties, however it will no longer be possible for vehicles to use the road as a through route.
The attached vehicle diversion route [see image & link below] shows the location in red line where the Marsh will be closed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be provided and they will continue to be able to use The Marsh as a through route.
The team have been in liaison with the Bus operators and they are fully sighted on this closure. They will be communicating details of their diversion routes through their own communication channels; please look at their website for more details. [see below] The school transport will also remain and the team are in liaison with the transport education team who are aware that journeys will take longer. For residents with mobility issues that are no longer able to access a bus stop during the diversion there will be a community transport service available that will take them to a destination within Swindon or to a bus stop in Wanborough for journeys outside of Swindon Borough. This service is provided by Akcess CIC using their 'Steps for you' service on Mondays to Fridays between 0900 and 1600. They can be contacted on 01793 677191.
There is a monthly e-newsletter dedicated to the New Eastern Villages Schemes which includes planning and highways updates which you can sign up to at (www.swindon.gov.uk/newsletter)
