The purpose of this consultation is to present the initial designs for a traffic calming scheme in Wanborough, and to provide the opportunity for local people to feedback on the proposals.
Proposals for the scheme
The scheme aims to reduce speeds through the use of traditional engineering solutions and psychological traffic calming, whilst also respecting the distinct character of the village.
There are three areas to be addressed:
- The High Street, with extensive revisions
- Rotten Row, pedestrian crossing to Hooper's Field
- Pack Hill, electronic warnings at the top of the hill.
See documents giving full details of the scheme, plus a feedback form from the Swindon Borough website
