Wilts & Berks Canal Trust are giving 2 talks in Wroughton Library, doors open 7pm for a 7.30pm start on:

• Thursday 16th October: a short history of canals after WWII through a presentation including paintings of the canal
• Thursday 23rd October: a talk by Chloe Ford, Chair of the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust on the continuing work at Wichelstowe and the major project of taking the canal through the Eastern Villages to join the original canal route.

Tickets are £5 each available from Wroughton Library during library opening hours:

Wednesday 11am-4pm
Thursday 2pm-5pm
Friday 9am-12noon
Saturday 10am-1pm

Free Exhibition of Canal Trust maps / plans and information from Monday 13th October at 12 noon to the end of that month

The Canal Trust will also display their maps / plans and information in the corridor up to the Library. This exhibition is free and is available to view when the Ellendune Community Centre is open, starting at noon on Monday 13th October until the end of that month.

The Community Centre is generally open 9am-3pm Monday – Friday, and Saturday mornings 10am-12noon. It's often open outside of these times but please ring the centre on 01793-813307 to check if you're thinking of making a special journey.
